Empirical prediction of the flash-lag effect. Plotting the perceived lag reported by observers for the full range of stimulus speeds that elicits the flash-lag effect (3º/s - 50º/s; see Figure 4B against the percentile rank of speeds in Figure 5B shows a nearly exact correlation between the psychophysical and empirical data. About ~97% of the observed data is predicted by the empirical ranks of different image speeds. (After Wojtach et al., 2008)
